- Gets manually adjustable suspension setup
- Apart from the standard model, Kawasaki offers three additional versions
- Powered by a 1,043cc, inline four-cylinder engine
After the Versys 1000 SE LT+, Kawasaki has announced the Versys 1000 S for the European market. Unlike the Versys 1000 SE LT+, the S variant does not get the Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension that incorporates Showa’s Skyhook Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment technology. Instead, the S version comes with manually adjustable setup at both ends.
The new 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 S is the mid-spec variant of the litre-class tourer range, and it has been priced at 14,227 euros (Rs 12.26 lakh).
Apart from the standard Versys 1000 S, buyers can also select from three additional trims – Tourer, Tourer Plus, and Grand Tourer – that come with added accessories. The Tourer variant, for example, comes with panniers and a protective tank pad while the Tourer Plus version further benefits from LED fog lights. The fully-loaded Grand Tourer gets a top case, a GPS bracket, and frame sliders.
The feature list on the Versys 1000 S includes six-axis IMU, Kawasaki Traction Control, Kawasaki Intelligent Braking System, multiple riding modes, Kawasaki Quick Shifter, cornering auxiliary lights, smartphone connectivity, heated grips, and cruise control system. Mechanical specifications include a Euro5-compliant, 1,043cc, inline four-cylinder engine.
