Kawasaki had launched the Versys 650 in its BS6 avatar in August last year. The middleweight adventure sports tourer motorcycle right now retails at the price a of Rs 7,08,000 ex-showroom (Mumbai). The Versys 650 is a sharp, muscular and stylish looking adventure sports tourer motorcycle. It gets a tall adjustable windscreen upfront, Versys graphics on its 21-litre fuel tank, split-type seat, chunky rear grab handle and an underbelly exhaust.
It further comes with features like a halogen headlight, a combination of the digital and analogue instrument cluster that shows gear position indicator and two trip meters, an LED taillight, dual-channel ABS and reflectors on its sides.
The BS6 model of the Versys 650 is powered by a parallel-twin liquid-cooled 649cc engine that produces 65.71bhp at 8,500rpm and 61Nm at 7,000rpm. This engine comes mated with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The ride here is taken care of by 41mm inverted telescopic forks at the front and offset laydown single-shock with remote spring preload adjustability suspension at the rear.
For braking, it employs a 300mm dual semi-floating petal disc at the front and a 250mm single petal disc at the rear assisted by dual-channel ABS.
The bike is equipped with 17-inch wheels on both ends. The front wheel is wrapped with a tyre having 120mm in width. Meanwhile, the rear wheel is wrapped with a tyre having 160mm in width.
Finally, moving to the dimensions of the bike, the wheelbase is 1415mm. The bike is 2165mm long, 1400mm tall and 840mm wide. The seat height here is kept at 840mm and the ground clearance is 170mm.
