The cruiser motorcycle segment is quite popular amongst Indian buyers. The Kawasaki Vulcan S BS6 has been a strong contender in this segment for a while now, retailing at Rs 6,04,000 ex-showroom (Mumbai) and available in a single Metallic Flat Raw Graystone colour option. Kawasaki recently unveiled the 2022 model in the international market where it gets two new colour options, but remains the same mechanically. While we await these new colours to arrive in the country, let's take a look at the detailed image gallery of the 2022 BS6 Vulcan S.
The Vulcan S gets a sleek and muscular design. It comes with a circular headlamp, red highlights across its body, Kawasaki graphic on its 14-litre fuel tank, underbelly exhaust, rectangular-shaped mirrors, split-type seat and reflectors on its sides.
It further comes with features like a digital speedometer, analogue tachometer, halogen headlight, LED taillight, ABS and gear position indicator.
The BS6 model of the Vulcan S is powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that churns out 59.94bhp at 7,500rpm and 62.4Nm at 6,600rpm. All this power and torque is put down via a six-speed gearbox.
The suspension duty on the Vulcan S is handled by 41mm telescopic forks at the front and offset laydown single shock with adjustable preload monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, the braking is taken care of by a 300mm single disc at the front and a 250mm single disc at the rear assisted by dual-channel ABS.
The bike comes equipped with an 18-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear. The front wheel is wrapped with a 120mm wide tyre. Meanwhile, the rear wheel is wrapped with a tyre having 160mm of width.
Finally, the seat height here is kept at 705mm which makes it very suitable for shorter riders. The ground clearance is 130mm and weight of the bike is 235kg.
