2021 KTM 125 Duke launched at Rs 1.50 lakh in India

- 2021 KTM 125 launched in India

- Demands a price premium of Rs 8,000 over its predecessor

- Gets styling identical to the 200 Duke

KTM has launched the 2021 edition of its entry-level offering, the 125 Duke, in India. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it around Rs 8,000 more expensive than the previous model. 

The biggest change it has received is the new-age KTM styling which is identical to the new 200 Duke. Hence, the design lines are much sharper on the headlamp, fuel tank and tail section. Moreover, the size of the fuel tank has also increased from 10.5 litres to 13.5 litres, which is the same as its elder siblings. What set it apart from the 200 Duke aesthetically are the new colour options which include Electronic Orange and Ceramic White. 

The 2021 125 Duke is also underpinned by a new split-type trellis frame, as opposed to the single unit chassis in its predecessor. Besides making it a better handler, this has helped in accommodating a larger rider and pillion seat, enhancing the comfort. Meanwhile, the 125cc, liquid-cooled engine has remained unchanged. It continues to produce 14.3bhp at 9,250rpm and 12Nm at 8,000rpm. What else has remained unaltered are the six-speed gearbox, WP USD forks, WP monoshock, a single disc at both ends with a single-channel ABS setup.

Now, with the new price tag, the 2021 KTM 125 Duke is around Rs 10,000 more expensive than its closest rival, the Yamaha MT 15.
