KTM has updated its Indian portfolio with the launch of the 2021 125 Duke. The entry-level model from the Austrian brand has been priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is a premium of approximately Rs 8,000 over its predecessor. Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 (Rs 1,52,179)
Bajaj’s RS 200 is available at a premium of about Rs 2,000 over the KTM 125 Duke. For that marginal price premium, the RS 200 offers a higher displacement engine, full-fairing design, and a dual-channel ABS setup. The 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine makes 24.14bhp of power and 18.7Nm of peak torque. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The feature list includes twin-pod headlight, LED taillight, LED indicators, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 (Rs 1,47,900 – Rs 1,50,000)
Yamaha’s YZF-R15 V3.0 retails at a marginally lower price tag than the Austrian roadster. The most affordable variant of the YZF-R15 V3.0, the Thunder Grey, is priced at Rs 1,47,900 while the Racing Blue and Dark Knight paint schemes are available at Rs 1,49,000 and Rs 1,50,000, respectively. The 155cc Japanese motorcycle packs features such as LED headlight, LED taillight, and a negative LCD instrument cluster. The mechanical specifications include a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooling engine that features VVA technology and 18.6bhp of power and 14.1Nm of peak torque.
Yamaha FZ25 (Rs 1,52,100)
The base version of the quarter-litre naked roadster from the Japanese two-wheeler brand is available at Rs 1,52,100 while the S variant is priced at Rs 1,57,100. Both versions feature an identical design and specifications, although the latter gets a tall visor and knuckle guards as standard. The feature list comprises a full-LED headlamp, a tail lamp, a negative LCD instrument cluster, and a side-stand engine cut-off switch. The motorcycle is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 20.5bhp and 20.1Nm.
KTM RC 125 (Rs 1,59,629)
The 125 Duke’s fully-faired version, the RC 125 is available at Rs 1,59,629. For that substantial price premium, the RC 125 features sportier ergonomics and a full-fairing design. The mechanical specifications, on the other hand, are identical on both motorcycles and the KTM RC 125 uses a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that makes 14.5bhp and 12Nm.
