2021 KTM 390 Duke spied testing

- The test mule was spotted testing in Germany

- Gets a new frame and a new swingarm

- Suspension and brakes to have been updated too    

While we all are eagerly waiting for the 390 Adventure to make it official entry into the country, the Austrian bike maker has already started working on the next generation, 390 Duke. Expected to make its debut in 2021, the motorcycle has been spied testing in Germany.

Looking at the spy images, what is instantly noticeable is the new trellis frame along with a new swingarm suggesting the dynamics of the motorcycle have been revised. Reportedly, the overall dimensions of the test mule were slightly larger than the first iteration suggesting it to be more spacious. Also, in order to match the new frame and swingarm, KTM is expected to also update the suspension setup along with improved brakes. Notably, in comparison to centre positioning of the rear monoshock on the current generation 390 Duke, the spied motorcycle had the monoshock mounted with an offset.

Reportedly, it also seems that the 390 Duke 372cc motor has undergone some major changes like a new cylinder head and a revised exhaust system. Besides that, the current TFT screen for the instrument console is likely to be replaced with a colour LCD unit. 

Lastly, considering all the improvements on the motorcycle, it has been reported that KTM will not be hiking the prices very much for the 2021 model in order to remain competitive and relevant product in its segment.
