- 2021 KTM 390 Duke to get new trellis frame and revised swingarm
- Expected to get subtle styling changes and new features
- Likely to debut globally at the 2020 EICMA show in Milan
After being spied in April 2019 for the first time, the 2021 KTM 390 Duke has been spotted undergoing tests once again. As evident from the images, the street naked will receive changes to its cycle parts and engine. Subtle styling tweaks and new features could also be on the cards.
The next-generation 390 Duke will be equipped with a new steel trellis frame along with a revised swingarm and rear monoshock with an aim to improve the ride quality and handling dynamics of the bike. Also, as we had reported earlier, the motorcycle could also get a tweaked braking setup for enhanced stopping power.
The 373.3cc, single-cylinder motor of the Duke seems to come with a revised exhaust setup along with a new cylinder head, which hint at changes more than just for compliance with new emission norms. As for the styling, the test mule was deprived of any body panels, making it difficult to speculate anything about the design changes. However, minor revisions on the bodywork and decals can be expected to keep it fresh. Lastly, the next-gen Duke might also get more features such as traction control and cornering ABS, similar to the new 390 Adventure.
The 2021 KTM 390 Duke is expected make its global debut at the 2020 EICMA show in Milan. In other news, the Austrian bikemaker also has the larger 490 Duke in the pipeline and you can read our comprehensive take on the same here.
