- 2021 450 Rally Replica unveiled
- Only 85 units will ever be made
- Gets new gearbox
KTM has unveiled the 2021 version of its hardcore 450 Rally Replica. This motorcycle has been developed for rally use and is limited to only 85 units.
For 2021, the Austrian maker has done some major changes to the bike. To start with, the bikes have been developed using KTM’s iconic 450 motorcycle that has been ridden by some of the world champions. The 450cc single-cylinder SOHC engine features the exact ratios that were used in the Dakar bikes. Also, the gearbox has a new shifting mechanism for slicker shifts and longevity.
The overall frame stiffness has been updated to provide better feel and feedback. The fuel tank doubles up as the subframe of the bike, thus saving some weight. The bike rides on WP 48mm front forks and a rearshock which are fully adjustable.
This bike costs about Rs 22 lakh which makes it expensive even for privateers. But the company also provides special service and support package for riders wanting to participate in rallies like Dakar.
