- 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 spied ahead of launch
- Two different versions of black paint scheme sighted
- Official launch expected to take place later this month
Ahead of its official launch in India, the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 was recently spied in all its glory. Two units of the bike were spotted adorning a black paint scheme. While one of these sported a dual-tone shade with some chrome on a few components, the other maintained a full-black theme. Interestingly, the former was riding on alloy wheels in contrast to the latter’s spoke wheels.
The next-generation model of the Classic 350 will certainly be launched by the end of this month. It will be the second motorcycle based on RE’s new ‘J’ platform, the first one being the already available Meteor 350. Similar to the Meteor, the new Classic will be based on a dual-cradle frame with the new 349cc, single-cylinder unit that’s substantially smoother than the existing 346cc mill.
Retaining the same overall silhouette, Royal Enfield has bestowed the new Classic 350 with subtle styling tweaks. It will also be equipped with more modern features like the new Tripper Navigation system already seen on the new Himalayan and the Meteor. There will be new switchgear as well with old-school rotary-style switches. Lastly, the ergonomics of the bike are likely to be comfier with denser foam for its rider and pillion seat.
The prices of the existing model of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 start at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom) and the next-gen version of the bike is likely to be around Rs 10,000 more expensive. ]
