- 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 could be launched on 27 August
- Updated in terms of styling, features and mechanicals
- To be substantially more expensive than the existing model
The 2021 edition of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is likely to be officially launched in India on 27 August, 2021. The updated modern-classic offering has been spied undergoing tests on multiple occasions, revealing a lot of details ahead of the launch. We have already done a detailed video on what to expect from the 2021 Classic 350 and it has been attached below.
To give you a quick recap, it will be updated on various fronts including cosmetic, mechanical and features. The highlight will be its engine based on the new ‘J’ platform that we have already seen on the Meteor 350. This 349cc, air and oil-cooled engine churns out 20.2bhp of power and 27Nm of peak torque in the Meteor. The transmission system comprises a five-speed gearbox.
The design of the motorcycle will also get a few subtle changes while retaining the overall silhouette. A significant revision will be observed in its instrument cluster. Unlike the existing model’s fully-analogue unit, there will be a semi-digital console with a circular theme along with RE’s new Tripper Navigation system. The switchgear will also incorporate new rotary-style switches.
The prices of the existing version of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 start at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the next-generation version is likely to carry a significant premium over this pricing.
