- 2021 Royal Enfield Classic launch scheduled for 1 September at 11:30 am
- 2021 model to pack new features and an updated engine
- Likely to carry a price premium over the old model
Royal Enfield will launch the much-awaited 2021 Classic 350 in the Indian market tomorrow. The Indian launch of the 2021 model is scheduled to commence at 11:30 am. The 2021 Classic 350 will get several mechanical upgrades and new features over its predecessor.
While the company has kept most of the features under cover, spy images and videos have given a detailed look at the upcoming motorcycle. As seen through the spy images, the new Classic 350 will get very few styling upgrades over the old motorcycle. The 2021 iteration of the motorcycle retains a round headlight, curvy design, and split-style seat. While the styling will remain similar to the old model, the upcoming version will receive new paint options, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and rotary-style switches similar to the Meteor 350.
Mechanically, the motorcycle will utilise the company’s new ‘J’ platform. We have already seen the new, 349cc, air and oil-cooled engine on the Meteor 350. The motor makes 20.2bhp and 27Nm on the Meteor 350. We expect to see similar power and torque output numbers on the Classic 350 as well.
The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 should carry a price premium over the outgoing version. The old model, for reference, was available at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
