- Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 comes in five new shades now
- Remains unaltered mechanically
Royal Enfield has recently introduced the updated 2021 model of its flagship offering, the Continental GT 650, in India. And the only update it has received is a new set of clothes in the form of five new colour options.
Starting with the most interesting one, the Rocker Red is reminiscent of the older 535cc Continental GT that was discontinued back in January 2018. It sports a red-coloured fuel tank and rear cowl. Another elegant-looking shade is Mr Clean that incorporates a fully chrome fuel tank with black under seat and rear cowl. For those who want their Continental GT 650 to be funky, RE has also rolled out Ventura Storm and Dux Deluxe which get dual-tone fuel tank. Lastly, the most understated of these is the British Racing Green version.
While we were expecting the bike to get a few more updates like the inclusion of alloy wheels, it has remained unchanged mechanically. Powering the motorcycle is a 648cc parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp of power and 52Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It rides on 18-inch spoke wheels that are suspended by telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers. Stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends. Available features are a slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS.
The prices of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 start at Rs 2,91,701 and go up to Rs 3,13,367 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
