The deliveries of the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan have commenced in the Indian market. The motorcycle was launched in the country with prices starting from Rs 2,03,314 onwards. In comparison, the old model was available from Rs 1,91,401 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
For the price premium, the updated model features Royal Enfield’s Tripper navigation system, a new windscreen design, updated luggage mounts, and a revised colour palette. The new colour options include New Granite Black, Mirage Silver, and Pine Green. Meanwhile, the company has discontinued the Snow and Sleet Grey paint options.
Mechanical specifications, on the other hand, remain identical to the 2020 model. Thus, the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan uses a 411cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor makes 24.3bhp of power at 6,500rpm and 32Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm.
The Himalayan rivals the likes of KTM 250 Adventure and the BMW G 310 GS in the Indian market.
