The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan has arrived in the Indian market and the latest iteration of the adventure tourer packs new features and an updated colour palette. Here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan.
The 2021 model brings three new colour options to the adventure tourer that will now be available in New Granite Black, Mirage Silver, and Pine Green. Other three colour options – Rock Red, Lake Blue, and Gravel Grey – have been retained from the 2020 model. Royal Enfield has removed the Snow and Sleet Grey paint options.
The new version also benefits from the Royal Enfield Tripper navigation function that debuted on the Meteor 350. The navigation pod, which occupies the space on the right-side of the instrument cluster, is powered by Google Maps and it delivers turn-by-turn directions. The Tripper navigation system is connected to the rider’s smartphone via the Royal Enfield App.
Royal Enfield has also delivered updates to enhance the motorcycle’s touring capabilities. The new model gets revisions to the seat, the rear carrier, and the front rack. It also features a new windscreen.
The 2021 model also gets the Make It Yours - MiY - initiative that allows the buyers to personalise and accessorise their motorcycle through the Royal Enfield App, the website, and at the dealerships.
The motorcycle already complied with the BS6 emission norms and thus the mechanical specifications remain unaltered. The 411cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine makes 24.3bhp of power at 6,500rpm and 32Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
The hardware, too, remains similar to the 2020 version. Thus, the shock absorption tasks are handled by telescopic forks at the front and preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back. The braking setup includes single discs on both wheels along with the safety net of switchable, dual-channel ABS.
The starting prices have increased by nearly Rs 10,000, and the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan is available from Rs 2,03,314 onwards. In comparison, the model it replaces was available with prices starting from Rs 1,91,401.
