The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan benefits from the Tripper navigation function that made debut on the Meteor 350. The hardware occupies the space next to the instrument cluster. Apart from the addition of the Tripper navigation system, the instrument cluster retains the layout from the old motorcycle. The 2021 model also gets an updated colour palette that now comprises six new options – Rock Red, Granite Black, Lake Blue, Mirage Silver, Gravel Grey, and Pine Green.
The 2020 Himalayan already complied with the BS6-emission norms, and thus there are no changes to the mechanical specifications of the motorcycle. The BS6-compliant, 411cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor on the adventure tourer produces 24.3bhp of maximum power and 32Nm of peak torque. The engine is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
The styling and hardware remain similar to its predecessor, and the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan continues to use a round headlight and a windscreen at the front. The adventure tourer rides on a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheel. Other hardware on the motorcycle includes telescopic front forks, preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels, and a dual-channel ABS.
