- 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan pictures leaked
- To feature a host of updates
- Official launch likely to take place soon
The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan has been making headlines for a while, mainly due to the updates it is likely to be bestowed with. Now that we are getting closer to its official launch, images of the motorcycle have surfaced online, revealing a handful of details about the changes it will incorporate.
Starting with the visual updates, the 2021 Himalayan will come in three new colour options including Mirage Silver, Granite Black and Pine Green. Apart from sporting new body colour, these versions also get brown rider and pillion seats. Interestingly, the changes are more than just cosmetic. The 2021 Himalayan will reportedly come equipped with a taller windscreen, redesigned metal frames flanking the fuel tank on both sides and a straightened rear luggage rack. The seat foam is also likely to be denser for better cushioning on long rides.
As we have observed in spy shots which had surfaced a few days back, Royal Enfield has also made the 2021 Himalayan more modern by equipping it with a Tripper navigation system, like the one present in the Meteor 350. It works in conjunction with Google Maps and works flawlessly, as is revealed by our tests conducted on the new Meteor.
As for other aspects of the Himalayan, they are likely to remain unchanged. So it will continue to feature a 411cc engine, 21-17-inch spoke wheel combo, telescopic forks, a monoshock and a disc at both ends. Due to all the changes it has received, the motorcycle will definitely get costlier. The existing iteration of the Royal Enfield Himalayan is priced between Rs 1.92 lakh-1.96 lakh (ex-showroom).
