- Updated instrument cluster features the Tripper navigation system
- No changes to the design
- Launch details not available yet
A test mule of the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan was recently seen through spy photographs, and the images give a glimpse at the Tripper navigation system. The added hardware is visible on the instrument cluster, next to the tachometer and the digital compass. The turn-by-turn navigation system, which debuted on the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, is powered by Google Maps.
The changes are limited to the updated cockpit. Everything else is similar to the BS6 model. The test mule was seen in the Lake Blue shade. The motorcycle continues to feature minimalist body panels along with a windscreen at the front, tall-set front fender, split-style seats, and wire-spoke wheels. The hardware setup comprises of telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS.
The existing model is BS6-compliant and we do not expect to see any changes to the mechanical specifications. The 411cc, single-cylinder engine makes 24.3bhp at 6,500rpm and 32Nm at 4,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission.
The launch details are scarce, although we can expect the updated model to arrive soon.
