- Gets new paint option
- Features brown seat cover
- To get Tripper navigation system
Royal Enfield will soon introduce the 2021 iteration of its adventure tourer, the Himalayan, in the Indian market. The new model, which was previously seen through a spy photograph, will pack an updated instrument cluster that will now include the Tripper navigation system. The turn-by-turn navigation system is powered by Google Maps and is already available on the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
Now, new data suggests that the motorcycle will get more colour options over the existing palette that comprises of six paint schemes. The 2021 model, as seen in the leaked photograph, will get a new theme that will comprise of a white base paint along with silver and brown highlights on the fuel tank. Moreover, this particular paint theme will also pack the brown seat cover. The source report suggests that the adventure tourer will also get a new pine green shade, while the solid white paint option may get discontinued.
The changes will be limited to the updated colour palette and the addition of the Tripper navigation system. The motorcycle is already BS6 compliant and thus we do not expect to see any changes to the mechanical specifications. The 411cc, single-cylinder engine, which is linked to a five-speed gearbox, makes 24.3bhp of power at 6,500rpm and 32Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm.
The launch details are scarce, although it may not be long before we hear an official announcement from Royal Enfield. We expect the motorcycle to arrive in the country in the first quarter of the calendar year 2021.
