2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan: What else can you buy?

Royal Enfield recently launched the new 2021 edition of the Himalayan with a couple of updates. These changes attract a premium over the previous model and it costs between Rs 2.01-2.09 lakh now. In case you’re wondering what else you can consider around the similar range, here’s a list of four alternatives to the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan. 

Honda CB350RS: Rs 1.96 lakh

The CB350RS is Honda’s latest modern-retro offering based on the Hness CB350. However, the former sports certain changes which make it slightly sportier and fancier than the latter. These revisions include new funky colour options, blacked-out theme, smaller 17-inch rear wheel, chunkier tyres, redesigned tail and slightly different ergonomics. Meanwhile, the 348.36cc engine and other cycle parts have remained unchanged. 

Jawa Perak: Rs 1.97 lakh

The Jawa Perak is for those who want to stand out of the crowd but can compromise on practicality. It’s the only bobber-styled machine available under Rs 2 lakh in India. It looks profoundly unique with a low slung profile, blacked-out theme, bar-end mirrors, floating-style seat with a tail lamp underneath and the lack of a pillion seat. The Perak’s 334cc engine is the larger displacement version of the 293cc unit which powers the Jawa Standard and 42. 

Bajaj Dominar 400: Rs 2 lakh

For those who want a modern and stylish touring motorcycle, the Bajaj Dominar 400 fits the bill perfectly. With a highly potent 373cc mill and comfortable ergonomics, the Dominar 400 is perfect for munching long miles. It also gets a premium set of hardware and modern features like full-LED lighting, a fully-digital instrument cluster and a slipper clutch. 

KTM RC 200: Rs 2.04 lakh

Unlike all the aforementioned bikes, the KTM RC 200 is a fast, frantic and agile track-oriented machine. Its sharp and aggressive fully-faired styling is complemented by bold colour options. With committed ergonomics, it offers extremely sharp handling dynamics which is accompanied by a peppy and rev-happy 25.4bhp, 199.5cc engine. Notably, KTM will soon introduce a majorly overhauled iteration of the RC series.
