Suzuki has launched the 2021 Gixxer 250 in Japan at JPY 4,48,800; an equivalent of Rs 3.09 lakh. In comparison, the motorcycle retails at Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
The Gixxer 250 sold in Japan is made in India and was launched in the East-Asian country last year along with the fully-faired Gixxer SF 250. For 2021, it gets two new colours- Matte Black Metallic and Triton Blue Metallic. Now, these colours are already available on the India-spec model. Even the feature list and mechanical specifications on the Japanese model are no different than the Gixxer 250 sold here.
It comes powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder engine with oil-cooling. This motor produces 26bhp at 9,000rpm and 22Nm of torque at 7,300rpm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. As for features, it is equipped with full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS and a digital instrument cluster as well.
