Suzuki has announced the UK prices for the 2021 GSX-S1000. The latest iteration of the Japanese naked roadster was recently unveiled with a major styling and mechanical overhaul. The 2021 GSX-S1000 is available at 10,999-pound sterling (equivalent to Rs 11.26 lakh in Indian currency). Interested buyers in the UK can register on the company’s website and reserve a unit of the motorcycle for a minimum deposit of 500-pound sterling. The motorcycle is scheduled to reach dealerships in late-June, 2021.
The motorcycle is expected to reach the Indian market, although the official details are unavailable yet. We expect the 2021 iteration of the GSX-S1000 to arrive in the Rs 13 lakh-14 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
The 2021 model features a revised design that’s sleeker and sharper than its predecessor. The feature list includes full-LED lighting, a vertically-stacked headlight setup, sharp bodywork with aerodynamic winglets, a digital instrument cluster, split-style seats, and a compact exhaust cannister. The motorcycle is available in three colours - Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Matte Mechanical Gray, and Glass Sparkle Black.
Mechanical specifications retain the GSX-R1000 K5- based motor, although it has received changes to comply with the Euro5-emission norms. However, despite complying with the newer, more stringent emission norms, the 999cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor makes more power than its predecessor. Linked to a six-speed transmission, the Euro5-compliant engine delivers 150bhp at 11,000rpm as against 145bhp at 10,000rpm on the Euro4 model.
