- 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa bookings re-opening tomorrow
- Second slot will comprise of limited units
- Booking amount is Rs 1 lakh
Suzuki is all set to re-open bookings for the second slot of the 2021 Hayabusa tomorrow, 1 July 2021, in India. Similar to the first slot, this too will be a batch of limited units. The online bookings will commence at 4PM tomorrow at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.
Suzuki had launched the 2021 Hayabusa in India in April this year. Courtesy of its massive popularity, the entire first batch of 101 units of the sport tourer was sold within a week. The motorcycle started reaching dealerships by the end of May and deliveries have already begun. As for the deliveries of the second slot, we expect it to commence within a couple of weeks.
The 2021 Hayabusa has been priced at Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom) which makes it around Rs 2.65 lakh more expensive than its predecessor. Justifying the hike are a host of updates in terms of design, features and hardware. Accompanying its more aerodynamic design is an extensive list of electronic aids including a six-axis IMU, a ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, anti-lift control, launch control, full-LED lighting, a TFT screen and more.
Powering the hyper sport offering is the same 1,340cc, inline four-cylinder engine that has been tweaked to comply with the new emission norms. Although the power figures have gone down, Suzuki says the performance has been improved in the low and mid-range. The cycle parts have also been improved with revised suspension, higher-spec Brembo brakes, and grippier Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres.
Suzuki has introduced all three colours of the Hayabusa in India which include white, silver and black. Since the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R is not yet available in India, the Hayabusa doesn’t have any direct competition here.
