The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is now available in India at an attractive price of Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom); this puts it at a premium of around Rs 3 lakh over the previous version. However, it does get substantial updates to justify the increase. Here we bring to you images of the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa with details.
The new Hayabusa retains the recognizable silhouette of the previous-gen models but takes a more aggressive approach to it with sharper-looking bodywork.
It also gets full-LED lighting for the headlamp, and turn signals whereas the tail lamp, which also gets LED lighting now features an all-new, wrap-around design.
Besides the exterior, Suzuki has also reworked the Hayabusa’s chassis. Not only has it helped reduce weight but also distribute it equally at the front and rear.
Underneath this revised frame is a slightly retuned version of the 1340cc, inline-four cylinder engine that is capable of churning out 188bhp and 150Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed transmission and also gets a two-way quickshifter for 2021.
And to put a leash on that power, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa comes with an exhaustive list of electronic rider aids. It includes a six-axis IMU, ride-by-wire, five riding modes, ABS, traction control, launch control, cruise control, engine brake control, anti-lift control, and low RPM assist, an active speed limiter as well as hill, and slope control. The bike also comes with a TFT screen fitted between the speedo and tachometer.
Suspension duties on the new Suzuki Hayabusa are taken care of by upside-down front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. Meanwhile, the braking setup comprises twin discs at the front held on by Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers and a single disc for the rear with a Nissin, single-piston calliper.
Now, the 2021 Hayabusa weighs in at 264kg and offes a claimed fuel economy of 14.9kmpl.It can be bought in three, dual-tone colours- Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Burnt Gold, Metallic Matte Sword Silver/Candy Daring Red, and Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Matte Stellar Blue.
