- 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa starts reaching dealerships
- Deliveries have begun
- First lot was sold within a week of its launch
Suzuki has begun dispatching the 2021 Hayabusa to dealerships in India and the deliveries of the motorcycle have commenced. The latest edition for the sports tourer was launched last month with a price tag of Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom) that makes it Rs 2.65 lakh more expensive than the previous model.
The Hayabusa has been one of the most hallowed superbikes in India for years. Such is the fan following of the motorcycle that its first batch of 101 units was sold out within a week of its official launch in India. It is available in three colour options and the white shade was the first one to go out of stock.
The 2021 Hayabusa has been updated to the teeth. While it was already one of the most aerodynamically designed motorcycles, Suzuki went on to bestow it with even sharper body panels. And this is the most technologically advanced iteration yet, with things like a six-axis IMU, a ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, anti-lift control, launch control, and so much more.
The 1,340cc, inline four-cylinder engine has also been tweaked to comply with the new emission norms. In the process, it has lost a significant amount of power and torque. However, Suzuki claims the performance has improved in the lower and mid-range of the rev band. Improvements have also been made in the hardware department as it gets revised suspension, higher-spec brakes, and grippier Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres.
