Triumph recently revamped its portfolio by launching the 2021 Bonneville Bobber in India. It is priced at Rs 11.75 lakh and gets a couple of updates over the previous version. You can read all about it here. Meanwhile, if you don’t find the Bonneville Bobber enticing enough, there are four alternatives priced similarly.
Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster: Rs 11.75 lakh
For the same price as the Bobber, Triumph retails the Bonneville Speedmaster that’s a more practical and useable cruiser. While both bikes share the same engine and nearly the same chassis, the Speedmaster comes equipped with a pulled-back handlebar and forward-set footpegs. It also gets a pillion seat, as opposed to the Bobber that’s deprived of it. And unlike the Bobber’s blacked-out theme, the Speedmaster looks more retro with chrome treatment on several components.
Triumph Tiger 850 Sport: Rs 11.95 lakh
For the Triumph fanatics who want to munch miles in an adventurous way, the Tiger 850 Sport is the most affordable offering in the iconic Tiger clan. With things like a large windscreen, a front beak, and a tall height, it looks like a proper ADV. However, the presence of a 19-17-inch alloy wheel combination indicates that it’s a road-oriented bike. Powered by an 888cc, inline-triple motor, the Tiger 850 makes 84bhp and 82Nm.
Kawasaki Versys 1000: Rs 11.44 lakh
The Kawasaki Versys 1000 is purely a touring motorcycle that’s substantially cheaper than the Bonneville Bobber. It offers a relaxed riding triangle, a spacious seat, a high-set windscreen, and a large luggage carrier, traits that make it suitable for riding all day long. Moreover, it is a typical Kawasaki in the way its 1,043cc engine delivers power smoothly and linearly with rated power figures of 118.2bhp and 102Nm.
Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX: Rs 11.29 lakh
The Ninja 1000 is a great amalgamation of a sports bike and a tourer. While it looks ready to hit the racetrack with an aggressive fully-faired design, it’s actually quite comfortable even for long-distance riding. Interestingly, it is powered by the same engine as the Versys 1000, but makes more power and torque at 140.13bhp and 111Nm, respectively. It is also loaded with rider aids like a quick shifter, traction control, cruise control, and four riding modes.
