Triumph recently added the Scrambler Sandstorm to its Indian portfolio. The motorcycle, which is limited to 775 units is based on the Street Scrambler although with more off-road focused equipment. It is priced at Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom). If you are looking for motorcycles in that price range, there are three options to consider.
Triumph Bonneville T100: Rs 9.29 lakh
In Triumph’s showrooms itself, you would find the Bonneville T100 priced at Rs 9.29 lakh. Sporting a properly modern-classic design, the T100 gets chromed-out parts and a simple approach to features with switchable traction control, torque-assist clutch, and dual-channel ABS as standard. Powering the motorcycle is a 900cc, parallel-twin engine like the Street Scrambler that produces 64.1bhp and 80Nm.
Ducati Scrambler Nightshift: Rs 9.80 lakh
Another motorcycle you could consider with ‘Scrambler’ in its name is the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift priced at Rs 9.80 lakh. Although, far from being an off-road-focused scrambler, the Scrambler Nightshift has the aesthetics to turn heads. Dressed up in a unique shade of grey, the motorcycle derives styling from the now discontinued Scrambler Cafe Racer and sports spoke wheels, bar-end mirrors, and a race plate on the sides. It uses an 803cc, L-twin motor that churns out 71.8bhp and 66.2Nm.
Harley-Davidson Iron 883: Rs 10.11 lakh
Lastly, we have an offering from Harley-Davidson in the form Iron 883 that is the most expensive on this list at Rs 10.11 lakh. Interestingly, with the Street models gone, it is also the American manufacturer’s most affordable motorcycle. Nonetheless, it features an uncluttered Sportster design and blacked-out components. The Harley-Davidson Iron 883 is powered by an 883cc V-twin engine, which produces 70Nm of peak torque at 3,500rpm.
