Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the 2021 Speed Twin for international markets. While there is no confirmation about its Indian launch date yet, we can expect the motorcycle to be launched in the country sometime this year. So here we bring to you all details of the motorcycle along with images.
The Speed Twin retains the same styling as the previous model that is in tune with Triumph Modern Classic range. However, it does receive a few subtle upgrades to keep it fresh like the new anodized headlamp and mudguard mounts, new graphics, and the 12-spoke alloy wheels.
Triumph Motorcycle is offering the 2021 iteration of the Speed Twin in three colours. This includes Red Hopper, Matte Storm Grey and Jet Black as well.
Propelling the Speed Twin is a 1200cc, parallel-twin engine like the previous model. Although, the new version produces 98.6bhp; slightly more than the earlier 96bhp output. Meanwhile, torque remains at 112Nm but comes in sooner at 4250rpm as compared to 4950rpm on the older model.
Moreover, the 2021 Triumph Speed Twin also comes equipped with revised hardware. Its suspension setup now features 43mm Marzocchi upside-down forks with cartridge damping while the rear uses twin shocks with preload-adjustability. It also gets updated Brembo M50 calipers for the front.
In terms of features, the new Speed Twin gets electronic aids like three riding modes, a traction control system, and ABS. It also comes with full-LED lighting, USB charging socket, and a twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster.
