One of the latest members of the Triumph Motorcycles family in India is the Street Scrambler Sandstorm. Launched alongside the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen limited-edition, the Scrambler Sandstorm is priced at Rs 9.65 lakh. Here we list down all details of the motorcycle along with images for you to look at.
The Triumph Street Scrambler Sandstorm is built on the standard Street Scrambler that is yet to be launched in India. However, it is limited to just 775 units and features a few differences to throw weight on the ‘limited-edition tag.
Let’s kick things off with the design of the Scrambler Sandstorm that has been inspired by desert scramblers from the ‘60s. And it comes with a high-set front fender, brushed alloy sump guard and a black headlamp mesh guard. Moreover, it also features a different seat, a set of tank grips and the unique tri-tone colour option.
Nevertheless, the rest of the motorcycle remains the same. It comes powered by a 900cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 64bhp and 80Nm. The motor comes paired to a five-speed gearbox. It tips the scale at 223kg and offers a low seat height of 790mm.
Suspension hardware on the Triumph Street Scrambler Sandstorm consists of 41mm telescopic forks up front and pre-load adjustable springs at the rear. Meanwhile, the motorcycle employs a 310mm disc at the front with Brembo caliper and a 255mm disc at the rear with Nissin caliper for braking. And the 19/17-inch combination of spoke wheels are wrapped in Metzeler Tourance tyres
The list of features isn’t much on the Triumph Street Scrambler Sandstorm which offers a dual-channel ABS, and a small-digital display in the speedometer.
