- 2021 Street Scrambler gets BS6 engine
- No changes to styling
- Expected to cost around Rs 9.20 lakh
Triumph Motorcycles have teased the launch of the Street Scrambler in India. The motorcycle was globally unveiled earlier this year alongside the Sandstorm edition that is available in India at Rs 9.95 lakh.
However, the Street Scrambler, being the standard version will be priced lower. We expect it to come with a price tag of around Rs 8.70 lakh; a premium of around Rs 15,000 over the previous model. Now, for 2021, Triumph has revised the motorcycle’s 900cc, parallel-twin engine to comply with Euro 5/BS6 norms. This motor produces 64.1bhp and 80Nm and comes linked to a five-speed gearbox.
The styling department remains unchanged and the Triumph Street Scrambler comes with a round headlamp, twin high-set exhausts, 19/17-inch wire-spoke wheels, and knobby tyres. It will be available in three colours- Urban Grey, Jet Black, and Matte Khatte/ Matte Ironstone. Even the suspension and braking hardware on the 2021 Street Scrambler is carried on from the previous model.
We can expect bookings for the motorcycle to commence soon and deliveries to begin a few days after its launch.
