TVS Motor Company has announced that it will launch the updated Apache RR310 in the Indian market very soon. The latest iteration of the Apache RR310 should benefit from new features. Here we tell you what to expect from the upcoming 2021 TVS Apache RR310.
Styling
The updated Apache RR310 should retain the design of its predecessor. Thus, the motorcycle will most likely continue to feature a twin-pod headlight at the front, a full-fairing design, step-up saddle, and a side-slung exhaust. While the design may not undergo any major makeover, the company could add new paint options and graphics to the 2021 model.
Features
The 2021 model should retain existing features such as full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. TVS Motor Company already offers selectable riding modes for the Apache RR 310, and we do not expect to see any changes to those. We could, however, see an updated suspension setup on the new Apache RR310. The Hosur-based two-wheeler manufacturer already offers preload adjustable front forks on the Apache RTR 200 4V. Thus, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a similar feature on the 2021 Apache RR310. Regular readers would know that the 2021 KTM RC390, too, will benefit from adjustable front forks, although that is likely to be reserved for the international-spec model.
Engine
TVS Motor Company has been updating the motors on its existing models to churn out more power. The company has already introduced the more powerful Apache RTR 160 4V and NTORQ 125 in the Indian market. The upcoming Apache RR310, too, could go through a similar exercise, and we could see slightly improved power and torque output numbers on the upcoming model. Our sources tell us that the new model will use a new race ECU that could deliver better throttle response and a racier character. The existing model draws 33.5bhp and 27.3Nm from its 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine.
Hardware
Apart from the adjustable front forks, we do not expect to see any major changes to the hardware on the Apache RR310. Thus, the motorcycle should continue to use single discs on both wheels to perform the anchoring tasks. The suspension setup should include preload-adjustable front forks and a rear mono-shock.
Price
The adjustable front forks and revisions to the motor/ECU should affect the prices. However, the company had announced a Rs 5,000 increase in the ex-showroom prices in May 2021, and thus the new model should not receive a major increase. The current model, for reference, is available for Rs 2.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
