- Yamaha MT125 updated for 2021
- Gets new colours and bigger fuel tank
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Yamaha has updated the MT125 for 2021.
The smallest motorcycle in Yamaha’s MT streetfighter range gets new colours as part of the update. There is the Storm Fluo colour that incorporates matte white with red accents on the wheels and tank. Meanwhile, the Icon Blue paint is derived from the MT-09 and MT-07 and features a mix of blue and grey. On the other hand, the Tech Black paint sports a blacked-out look.
Apart from the new colours, the 2021 Yamaha MT125 comes with a 11-litre fuel tank that is slightly bigger than the previous model’s 10-litre unit. However, the rest of the motorcycle remains the same. It comes with a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that has been updated for Euro 5-compliance. Its suspension duties are taken care of by inverted forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear whereas braking is done by disc brakes at both ends.
Nevertheless, Yamaha is unlikely to launch the MT125 in India and will continue to have the MT15 as its most-affordable performance naked motorcycle.
