- Yamaha R15 V3 updated for 2021
- Gets new colours
- No mechanical changes
Yamaha has launched the 2021 R15 V3 in Indonesia. And as part of the model year update, the motorcycle gets new colours schemes.
To begin with, there is the Metallic Blue colour option that combines blue and grey and is similar to the bigger R6 and R1 supersport machines. Yamaha is also offering the R15 V3 in a Matte Black colour that features a glossy black fuel tank and white graphics on its fairing. It looks somewhat similar to the Dark Knight colour that is available on the India-spec R15. Lastly, the 2021 Yamaha R15 V3 is also offered in a Matte Silver paint that comes with contrasting neon yellow wheels and accents on the bodywork.
Besides the new colours, the Indonesian-spec 2021 Yamaha R15 V3 remains the same with a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with VVA technology. It produces 19.3bhp of power and 14.7Nm of torque. However, the Indonesian model of the R15 V3 comes with golden-finished upside-down forks as compared to the Indian version that rides on telescopic forks up front.
While the Indonesian model competes against the recently updated Honda CBR150R, in India, the R15 V3 goes up against the KTM RC 125 and the KTM RC 200.
