India Yamaha Motor has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid. The scooter is available in two variants (drum and disc) with prices starting from Rs 76,830 (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards. Here we list the top five highlights of the new Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid.
Variants and Features
The new RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid is available in two variants – drum and disc. Both variants of the 125cc scooter benefit from Smart Motor Generator (SMG), quiet engine start system, automatic stop & start system, a side stand engine cut off function, and Unified Brake System (UBS). The disc brake version further benefits from an LED headlight, a digital instrument cluster, and a 190mm front disc brake. The Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster works with the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X application and offers access to functions such as answer back, locate my vehicle, riding history, parking record, and hazard.
Colours
The base variant of the new RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid is available in two colours – Metallic Black and Cyan Blue. The disc brake version, on the other hand, is listed in six colours – Cyan Blue, Matte Red, Metallic Black, Racing Blue, Reddish Yellow Cocktail, and MotoGP Edition.
Styling
The styling cues on the 2021 Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid remain similar to the non-Hybrid model. The latest variant of the scooter feature an apron-mounted headlight, a muscular design, a Y-shaped DRL, a tinted flyscreen, step-up saddle, and a sporty pillion grab rail. The MotoGP Edition of the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid, which is only available in the disc brake form, gets a YZR-M1 inspired livery.
Engine
The mechanical specifications on both variants include a 125cc, single-cylinder engine with a hybrid power assist feature. The motor on the Hybrid model produces 8.04bhp of maximum power and 10.3Nm of peak torque. In comparison, the non-Hybrid model makes 8.04bhp and 9.7Nm of peak torque.
Hardware
The braking setup on the base model includes drum brakes on both wheels. The more premium version, on the other hand, uses a 190mm disc on the front wheel. The suspension tasks on both variants include telescopic front forks and a single rear spring.
