- Gets new Cyan Metallic colour option
- No mechanical changes over the 2020 model
- Prices yet to be announced
Yamaha has announced the 2021 iteration of its quarter-litre fully faired motorcycle, the YZF-R25 for the Malaysian market. The changes to the 2021 model are limited to the colour options. For 2021, the Japanese two-wheeler brand has introduced the Cyan Metallic colour option to the motorcycle. The new paint also gets orange colour for the alloy wheels that matches the stickers on the body panels. Yamaha will also offer the Yamaha Blue colour on the 2021 model in the Malaysian market.
The feature list, on the other hand, remains unaltered, and the 2021 Yamaha YZF-R25 continues to carry a twin-pod LED headlight setup, a digital instrument cluster, fairing mounted rear-view mirrors, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, clip-on handlebars, and an LED taillight. The hardware setup retains upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. The braking duties are handled by single discs on both wheels.
Mechanical specifications retain the 249cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that also powered the 2020 model. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces 35bhp at 12,000rpm and 22.6Nm at 10,000rpm.
The company is yet to announce the price for the 2021 Yamaha YZF-R25 in the Malaysian market.
