Yamaha has unveiled the 2021 iteration of the YZF-R3 in the Japanese market. The motorcycle has been priced at 6,87,500 yen (approximately Rs 4.90 lakh) in the country and it will be available for sale from 15 January, 2021.
The changes are limited to styling revision that come in the form of new colours. The motorcycle will be offered in three paint options – Cyan Metallic, Deep Purplish Blue Metallic, and Matte Dark Grey – in Japan. The same updates would be applied on the YZF-R25. The quarter-litre motorcycle has been listed at 6,54,500 yen (approximately Rs 4.68 lakh).
The changes, as mentioned above, are limited to the colour revisions. Everything else remains similar to its predecessor. Thus, the Yamaha YZF-R3 continues to pack features such as a twin-pod LED headlight, an LED taillight, a muscular design, clip-on handlebar, full-fairing setup, digital instrument cluster, and a step-up seat setup. The optional accessories include KYB special suspension setup, sportier windscreen, tank pad, and a graphics protector.
Mechanical specifications on the YZF-R3 continue to include a 320cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 41.5bhp at 10,750rpm and 29Nm at 9,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
