We swung a leg over the newest iteration of the Dominar 400 recently to bring you an indepth review of the motorcycle. You can read all about it HERE or watch the detailed review on the BikeWale YouTube channel. However, in this article, we have compiled images from our review along with details.
The 2022 Bajaj Dominar 400 is essentially the same as the previous model. Although, it comes with accessories as standard that aim to make it an even better touring motorcycle.
At the front is a tall windscreen as well as pair of knuckle guards that are made from two materials and focus more on reducing fatigue than protecting the levers completely. However, both these components have strong build quality.
Then you also get a mobile holder that is fitted above the LCD instrument cluster and a USB charging port right below for more convenience.
Bajaj has also added a strudy tail rack and pillion backrest to the list of accessories that push and prove the prospect of the Dominar 400 as a capable tourer. As for the saddle stays you see here, these are offered as optional accessories unlike the rest of the package.
Besides this, the 2022 Dominar 400 also comes with large crash guards and a metal engine sump guard. The motorcycle also gets a tank pad for added measure.
While all of the fitments have added a good 6kgs to the Dominar’s 186kg weight, the engine, brakes and suspension have remained untouched. It continues to come powered by a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that has been derived from the KTM 390 Duke.
What is more interesting though is the 2022 Dominar’s pricing. The new model costs Rs 2.16 lakh; around Rs 4,500 more than the previous model. And for the extensive list of touring accessories, it does seem like a deal considering it would cost way more to have these fitted elsewhere.
