- Comes in three new colour options
- Priced at Rs 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Hardware remains the same as the older model
After unveiling the 2022 edition of the G 310 R abroad, BMW Motorrad has now brought the motorcycle to India. It’s priced at Rs 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom) which makes it Rs 5,000 more expensive than the older model. What you get for that premium is a choice of three new colour options with updated decals. The 2022 G 310 R is now available in Polar White with Racing Blue, Racing Red, and Cosmic Black 2 shades.
BMW has left the G 310 R untouched in all other areas. The motorcycle continues to be powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 33.5bhp and 28Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The 17-inch alloy wheels are suspended by USDs at the front and a monoshock at the rear while braking is taken care of by a single disc at both ends. The braking setup is assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard.
As for the styling, it continues to be inspired by the big-daddy S 1000 R super naked with a squatting stance, low-slung headlamp, muscular fuel tank section, and a raked and stubby tail portion. The red and white colour options also get a red-coloured frame and wheels which make them look more attractive. On the feature front, there’s a full-LED lighting system, adjustable clutch and brake levers, and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
The BMW G 310 R competes against the KTM 390 Duke in India. In other news, BMW is also launching the G 310 RR sportbike in India which will be based on the TVS Apache RR310. Stay tuned to BikeWale for more updates.
