Ducati India has announced the launch of the 2022 Panigale V4 range in our market with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 26.49 lakh. The company has launched three variants of the motorcycle in the Indian market – V4, V4 S, and V4 SP2. Check out the complete price list (ex-showroom, India) below:
Panigale V4: Rs 26.49 lakh
Panigale V4 S: Rs 31.99 lakh
Panigale V4 SP2: Rs 40.99 lakh
For 2022, the flagship supersport motorcycle from the Bologna-based manufacturer gets updated aerodynamics, ergonomics, engine, chassis, and electronics. The overall design remains unaltered and the 2022 Panigale V4 retains the twin-pod headlight assembly along with a muscular fuel tank, underbelly exhaust, and a single-sided swingarm. However, the winglets have become compact and thinner than before. Ducati claims the winglets deliver 37kg of downforce at 300kmph.
Further, the SP2 variant of the motorcycle benefits from Winter Test Livery which is a combination of matte carbon finish with bright red accents, billet aluminium steering stem with the bike’s name and number, rider seat with dedicated material and V4 SP2 logo, and an exposed brushed aluminium tank. The motorcycle also gets several weight saving measures in the form of Marchesini forged aluminium wheels, STM-EVO SBK nine-disc dry clutch, and carbon fibre wings, heel guards, and front fender.
The mechanical specifications include a 1,103cc, V4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor now produces 212.5bhp at 13,000rpm and 123.6Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm. The electronic rider aids include four power modes (Full, High, Medium, and Low), riding modes, Bosch cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, power launch, bi-directional quick shifter, and auto tyre calibration.
The suspension setup on the standard variant includes 43mm fully-adjustable Showa BPF front forks and a fully-adjustable Sachs rear mono-shock. The more premium S and SP2 variants, on the other hand, benefit from Ohlins-sourced front forks and rear mono-shock – both fully and electronically adjustable. The braking setup on both variants includes twin 330mm front and a single 245mm rotor with a two-piston caliper at the back.
The Panigale V4 range rivals the likes of the Kawasaki ZX-10R and BMW S1000RR in the Indian market.
