Ducati finally launched the updated Panigale V4 lineup in India recently. The range comprises three models: standard V4, V4S and the V4 SP2. Apart from the asking price, the three models differ in features, firepower and more. Let’s have a look at all the variants individually.
Panigale V4
Similar to all the remaining two variants, the standard V4 gets a sharp and highly track-oriented design. It features split LED headlights, cooling ducts in the side panels and a bevy of rider aids. Powering the Panigale V4 is a 1,103cc, V4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The output is rated at 215.5bhp and 123.6Nm. Speaking of the rider aids, the base model is equipped with riding modes, power modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, and a bi-directional quick shifter. It weighs 198.5kg.
Suspension duties on the standard Panigale V4 are done by fully adjustable Showa BPF forks and a fully adjustable rear Sachs monoshock. It rides on five spoked alloys and gets Brembo brakes at both ends. The Panigale V4 is priced at Rs 26.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Panigale V4S
Ducati has plonked the same 1,103cc, V4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale engine with the same output as the standard model. But it gets a different hardware setup than the V4. The suspension setup on the S model comes with Ohlins as the NPX25/30 front forks and a rear Ohlins TTX36 fully adjustable rear shock. Its braking hardware comprises 330m front discs with Brembo Monobloc Stylema calipers and a 245mm rear disc held by a 2-piston Brembo caliper.
It gets the same set of safety features as the standard model and electronic suspension adjustment, with an Ohlins damper, lithium-ion battery, Marchesini wheels and racing-style handle grips. The Ducati Panigale V4S retails at Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
As for the Panigale V4 SP2, Ducati is yet to reveal other details of the bike apart from its asking price of Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
