Honda launched the 2022 Africa Twin Adventure Sports in India recently. So in this article, we tell you everything that you need to know about the new BMW R1250 GS rival.
Design
The Africa Twin received a major styling makeover in 2020. And since, it hasn’t changed much in terms of styling. Even the 2022 model gets no significant changes to the design except the addition of a new colour. While it continues with the Pearl Glare White Tricolour paint scheme, the Matte Ballistic Black Metallic colour is new.
Engine
Honda has retained the 1,082cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that does duty on the recently unveiled Hawk11 and NT1100. It makes 98bhp at 7,500rpm and 103Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. That said, Honda is offering the motorcycle in two gearbox options- manual and DCT.
Features
The list of features on the Africa Twin includes a twin-pod LED headlamp, adjustable windscreen, and tubeless tyre compatible wire-spoke wheels. As for electronic rider aids, it gets a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit, ABS, HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control), Bluetooth Connectivity feature, as well as four riding modes- tour, urban, gravel, and off-road along with two customizable settings.
Pricing
Honda has priced the Africa Twin from Rs 16.01 lakh, for the manual transmission variant and Rs 17.55 lakh for the DCT version. (both prices, ex-showroom)
