Honda 2Wheelers India has announced the launch of the BS6-compliant 2022 CB300R in our market at Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer had unveiled the 2022 iteration of the Neo-Sports Café inspired motorcycle in December at the India Bike Week.
The company has remained tightlipped about the power and torque output figures from the BS6-compliant, 286cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine although leaked document suggest that the motor produces 31.1bhp at 9,000rpm. In comparison, the BS4 version was tuned to deliver 30.4bhp at 8,000rpm. The new motorcycle also benefits from an assist and a sipper clutch mechanism.
The styling cues remain similar to the BS4 model, although the 2022 CB300R now gets black headlamp bezel (for black colour variant), golden-coloured upside down front forks, and darker radiator cowls. The braking tasks are handled by a 296mm disc at the front and a 220mm rotor at the back. The safety net is handled by a dual channel ABS that works on Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) for a uniform front to rear braking, optimum body weight distribution, and minimal rear lift.
The 2022 CB300R will be offered in two colors options – Matte Steel Black and Pearl Spartan Red. The bookings for the motorcycle are open at Honda BigWing and Honda BigWing Topline dealerships across India.
