- CB300R specs leaked
- Churns out more power than BS4 model
- India launch soon
Honda India will soon launch the 2022 version of the CB300R in India soon. The company had showcased this bike at last year’s India Bike Week.
The 2022 version of the CB300R will make slightly more power than the BS4 variant. According to a leaked type approval document, the CB300R produces 31.1bhp at 9000rpm, whereas the discontinued model used to churn out 30.4bhp at 8000rpm. The brand could have done this to get maximum power from the engine and at the same time meet the stringent BS6 emission norms.
Even in 2022, the Honda CB300R will continue to face stiff competition from the KTM 390 Duke that offers lots of performance and features and also from the BMW G310R which offers plenty of brand recall experience. Honda would have to price the CB300R quite aggressively if the brand wants to sell the bike in good numbers.
