- 2022 Honda CBR 650R launched
- Gets fresh set of graphics
- Price increased by Rs 47,000
Honda has launched the 2022 edition of its middle-weight sports tourer, the CBR 650R, in India. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom) which makes it around Rs 47,000 more expensive than the previous model. And for that premium, you get two new colour options.
The motorcycle is available in Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic paint schemes. While these colour options were already available, Honda has bestowed them with fresh graphics. The Red trim gets black decals with a pinch of white and the black one sports subtle orange highlights. As for other aspects, the motorcycle remains completely untouched.
The CBR 650R is powered by a 648.72cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that churns out 85.82bhp of power and 57.5Nm of peak torque. Weighing 211kg (kerb), it incorporates a 15.4-litre fuel tank. The six-speed gearbox is accompanied by an assist and slipper clutch. The feature list is decent with full-LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Honda Ignition Security System (HISS), and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology.
In India, the Honda CBR 650R is available as a CKD (completely knocked down) product at the brand’s premium BigWing Topline dealerships. The motorcycle competes against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
