- 2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R revealed in Indonesia
- Comes in four colour options
- India launch won’t take place anytime soon
Kawasaki’s quarter-litre inline-four cracker, the Ninja ZX-25R, has been updated for 2022 and it has been revealed in Indonesia. The new iteration of the sportsbike is available in four new colour options - Lime Green/Ebony/Pearl Blizzard White, Passion Red/Pearl Blizzard White, Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Grey/Metallic Spark Black, and Metallic Spark Black.
The Lime Green paint scheme is the same shade that’s available for Kawasaki’s bigger bikes like the Ninja ZX-10R. The most vibrant of them is the Passion Red which gets red-coloured body panels adorned with white and grey decals. Notably, the Japanese bike maker has made only cosmetic changes while keeping the hardware unchanged.
The highlight of the ZX-25R is its 249.8cc inline four-cylinder engine that produces as much as 49.3bhp (50.3bhp with RAM Air) of power at 15,500rpm and 22.9Nm of peak torque at 14,500rpm. With an assist and slipper clutch, the transmission system features six cogs. It's also better than most other quarter-litre machines in terms of features with things like Kawasaki Traction Control, power modes, and dual-channel ABS.
Regardless of how enticing an option the Ninja ZX-25R comes across, it won’t be launched in India. At least not anytime soon given the fact that it will be too expensive for our price-conscious market.
