- Could be launched by the end of this month
- Will carry a notable premium over the outgoing model
- Gets a new fascia and other minor tweaks
Kawasaki India has been offering a heavy discount on the outgoing Versys 650 as the 2022 model is set to debut very soon. Kawasaki officials said the bike could probably be launched by the end of this month and our dealer sources said the deliveries could commence in July.
Moreover, the 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 is likely to cost around Rs 40,000 - 50,000 more than the previous model. With the price bump, the updated model gets a new, sharp fascia (similar to the Ninja 650), a four-way adjustable windscreen, a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and a two-level traction control system.
The 2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 gets the same motor – 649cc, parallel-twin engine dishing out 66bhp and 61Nm. Even the chassis, suspension, and braking hardware have been retained from the previous model.
Currently, the Kawasaki Versys retails at Rs 7.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), so you can expect the 2022 model to be priced around Rs 7.50 - 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom). That said, if you are inclined towards the older bike, we recommend you visit your nearest dealership and grab the bike for a discount.
