- 2022 Versys 650 unveil this month
- Likely to get updated bodywork
- Will go against Triumph Tiger Sport 660
Kawasaki is gearing up to unveil the 2022 variant of its famous Versys 650 touring motorcycle. The US arm of the company has released a teaser picture on its social media channels.
According to this teaser picture, there’s a covered motorcycle that has silhouette of the Versys 650. So we can expect to see the 2022 model to be unveiled to the world on 23 November. This upcoming Versys 650 is likely to get only styling updates. The Versys 650 could get some design inspiration from its bigger sibling – the Versys 650.
The engine and gearbox most likely won’t see any changes. The 649cc parallel-twin motor will continue to make 66bhp. Some reports suggest that there have been some changes made to the height of the bike. Currently, the bike has a height of 1400mm with the screen in low position. But for the 2022 model the number is at 1360mm. The updated bodywork might also add some weight to the motorcycle.
This new Kawasaki Versys 650 will come to India early next year and will go against the soon-to-be launched Triumph Tiger Sport 660.
