- Kawasaki Vulcan S Café enters the US
- Gets a café racer-style visor and unique paint scheme
Kawasaki has unveiled the new Café variant of its middle-weight cruiser, the 2022 Vulcan S, in the US. Similar to the standard variant, this version has also received new colours while remaining unaltered in all other areas.
The Vulcan S Café distinguishes itself from the base trim with the presence of a café racer-style rounded smoked visor above its oblong-shaped headlamp. Moreover, it’s draped in a distinctive three-tone colour which is a combination of black, white and golden. As for the standard model, it has been introduced in new Pearl Robotic White and Metallic Matte Graphite Grey paint schemes.
The mechanical side of things has been left untouched. While offering a quintessential cruiser riding stance, the highlight of the Vulcan is the Ergo-Fit feature. It allows riders to set the footpegs, handlebar and seat in three different positions to alter the ergonomics as per their comfort and preference.
Powering the Vulcan S is the same 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, engine that produces 59.9bhp of power and 62.4Nm of peak torque. It rides on an 18-17-inch alloy wheel combination that is sprung by telescopic forks and a seven-step preload-adjustable monshock. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends.
While Kawasaki already retails the Vulcan S in India at Rs 6.04 lakh (ex-showroom), expect it to bring in the Café version and new colours by the end of this year.
