Kawasaki has announced the launch of the 2022 Z650 in the American market. The latest iteration of the motorcycle packs styling upgrades over its predecessor, and here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the 2022 Kawasaki Z650.
The 2022 Kawasaki Z650 gets cosmetic upgrades in the form of new graphics. The new graphics are visible on the headlight cowl, fuel tank, shrouds, and the rear panel.
The motorcycle is available in two variants in the American market, ABS and non-ABS. The ABS version is available in Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray while the non-ABS model is listed in Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black paint.
Apart from the new graphics, the motorcycle also gets a revision to the paint scheme. The Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black paint, for example, gets a green colour for the chassis, and the sub-frame instead of black colour on the 2021 model.
The Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray uses red colour for the frame instead of the green shade on its predecessor. The 2022 iteration of this colour option also uses black alloy wheels instead of green units on the 2021 version.
The mechanical features are similar to the 2021 model. Thus, the 2022 Kawasaki Z650 continues to use a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 65.7Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The hardware on the 2022 Z650 include telescopic front forks, preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, dual 330mm petal-type discs at the front and a 220mm petal-type rotor at the back. The safety net of dual-channel ABS is available as an option.
The feature list includes an LED headlight, assist and a slipper clutch, and Bluetooth-enabled TFT instrument cluster that works with Rideology the App.
The ABS version retails at USD 7,849 (Rs 5.72 lakh) while the non-ABS variant is available at USD 7,349 (Rs 5.35 lakh).
