Kawasaki has updated its product portfolio in the American market with the launch of the 2022 Z650. The changes to the 2022 model are limited to cosmetic upgrades in the form of new graphics. The motorcycle is available in two variants in the American market, ABS and non-ABS. The ABS version is available in Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray while the non-ABS model is listed in Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black paint.
The Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray paint option features a red paint for the chassis, graphics, and rim-tapes. The Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black paint, on the other hand, gets green paint for the chassis, graphics, and rim tapes.
The mechanical features remain similar to the 2021 model, and the 2022 version continues to use a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 65.7Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The feature list includes an assist and a slipper clutch and Bluetooth connectivity. The TFT instrument cluster works with Rideology the App.
The ABS version retails at USD 7,849 (Rs 5.72 lakh) while the non-ABS variant is available at USD 7,349 (Rs 5.35 lakh).
