Kawasaki has announced the launch of the 2022 Z900 in the Indian market to rival the likes of Ducati Monster BS6, Triumph Street Triple series, and the BMW F 900 R. The motorcycle is available in a single variant and one colour option in our market. Here we list the top five highlights of the 2022 Kawasaki Z900.
Design
The styling remains similar to the 2021 model and the Japanese naked roadster continues to pack the Sugomi design. The motorcycle features a low-slung headlamp, muscular 17-litre fuel tank, step-up saddle, raked tail section, and a side-slung exhaust. The 2022 Z900 is available in a single colour option – Metallic Spark Black. This paint option comes with green paint for the chassis, sub-frame, and rim tapes. The 2022 Z900 boasts a seat height of 820mm and tips the weighing scale at 212kg (kerb).
Features
The feature list remains unaltered, and the 2022 Kawasaki Z900 comes equipped with full-LED lighting (headlight, taillight, turn indicators, and license plate lamp) and a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display that works with RIDEOLOGY THE APP smartphone application. The electronic rider aids include traction control system, two power modes (Low and Full), three riding modes (Sport, Rain, and Road), and dual-channel ABS.
Engine
The mechanical specifications retain the BS6-compliant 948cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 124.5bhp of maximum power at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
The hardware on the 2022 Kawasaki Z900 comprises a trellis frame, 41mm telescopic front forks, and a rear mono-shock. The suspension setup on both ends is adjustable for rebound damping and spring preload. The braking tasks are handled by twin 300mm discs with four-piston callipers at the front and a single 250mm rotor with a single-piston calliper at the back.
K-Care Package Benefits
The 2022 model benefits from the Kawasaki K-Care package. The K-Care package brings an extended warranty and annual maintenance contract for four years with the motorcycle. The benefits of the K-Care package can be transferred to a subsequent owner at the time of vehicle resale. All previous model year models are not included in the K-Care package.
